Quick Beef Tacos
This is one of my favorite quick and easy recipes. By adding store bought salsa to ground beef, you’ve got an instant filling to whole wheat tortillas. Make it as zesty and spicy as you’d like by trying different salsas to stir in.
With white onion and cilantro as fresh, raw toppings, this weeknight dinner is healthy and affordable.
Jazz this basic taco recipe up with avocado, shredded cheese, sour cream. Shredded chicken, black beans and pinto beans also work wonderfully in this recipe.
½ lb cooked ground beef
½ cup of your favorite salsa (room temperature)
½ cup white onion (finely chopped)
Cilantro (fresh is best, roughly chopped)
Whole wheat tortillas
1. Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave for about 10 seconds or until warmed.
2. Meanwhile, slowly heat ground beef over medium-low heat. Once hot, remove from heat and stir in salsa.
3. Assemble tacos with beef & salsa mixture, onion and cilantro.
