Hi, I’m Kristin!
Eight years ago I was running ragged, working 3 jobs and living a hustle & bustle life. I was a mental health counselor who cared for others’ well being all day but was struggling to meet my own needs after work. I’d get home, stare into the fridge and with a numb brain reach for the easiest meal to put together.
After a few years of this I hit a wall, mentally and physically. I was burnt out from constant busyness and needed a way to recharge my creative energy.
I started being more intentional with my meals after work and found that I liked the simplicity of cooking. After listening to people’s complex stories, having a process with a clear beginning, middle and end was refreshing. I liked taking the time to slow down and watch sauce thicken into gravy.
It was relaxing and just what I needed.
You often hear people say ‘Food is Medicine’ but what if I told you that the act of cooking could also nourish your body and spirit?
Cooking can keep you grounded and present while also providing a delicious meal. With over 20 years of home cooking experience I can’t wait to show you easy ways to turn cooking into joyful self-care!
